Wednesday's Word Count

Gosh, it's going to be MARCH by the time we convene for Wednesday's Words again. Can you beleive it?

Prior Goal:
Write a chapter.

Achieved: Most of one...

Goal for new week:
Finish this chapter and writer another or more.

Excuses / comments: Okay, so I haven't finished my chapter yet. I was a bit of a slacker this week. I'm fairly far into it though, and I plan on making up for it by Sunday. I need to keep up my word count if I'm going to finish by May!

How is everyone else doing? Add a week-goal or make a comment if you like!

I like this Wednesday Word Count thing, I just may have to steal it for my own Middle Grade fantasy.

I've been re-writing my book Driven to include some changes to two characters. It started out slow, but last week I started really getting into it. The problem is I have two non-writing goals for February that I've been neglecting because of the writing. Now, instead of letting myself get sucked in to the manuscript for a full day I require myself to do a little work on it each day, even if it's only part of a scene. I've found that it's helping to keep me rooted in that world while letting me take care of my other responsibilities. This is a new technique for me, because usually I dig in and keep plowing ahead.

Tyler, you're welcome to it. You can always post your goals over here too. I like the company.

Hope that technique works out well for you Lisa, you're running out of February!
