Agent Spotlight & Agent Spotlight Updates

  • Agent Spotlights & Interviews have been updated through the letter "K" as of 3/28/2024 and many have been reviewed by the agents. Look for more information as I find the time to update more agent spotlights.

Agent Spotlight Requests

I'm building up my list of upcoming Agent Spotlights for the next few months, so if there is an agent (or multiple agents) you'd like to see featured soon, now's the time to speak up (though I'm always open for requests)!

Don't forget the focus of the Spotlights is on agents who represent children's fiction, so make sure they represent at least one area therein.

That's all!

Please leave a comment or e-mail me at agentspotlight(at)gmail(dot)com with your requests.

*Shameless self interest*

Agents who are chemically addicted to MG fantasy?

LOL @ chemically addicted! :)

Hmmm...you've actually done all my top picks. I know it's not specific, but in my own shameless self interest, any YA SF specialists?

I'll see what (who) I can find for you both. Not too sure about chemically addicted though, Aimee. They might not spread that info around the net. ; )

Beth, have you checked out Merrilee Heifetz of Writers House? I beleive she is fairly specialized in MG/YA fantasy and SF.

I'll keep me eye out for others.

How about Brenda Bowen? I think she was an editor then just recently joined an agency....Sanford Greenberger, I think. I would love to know more about what she's looking for.

Thanks for doing this, Casey. YOu are awesome!!!

Shelley

I'll see what I can find on her, Shelley. I've had a couple people e-mail me about her already, so I know there isn't much out there yet. I'll add her to the list though!

You. Rock.

How about Michael Stearns? Cat LeBaigue? Paula Allen (Screenland)? Carolyn Grayson?

Thanks!

Casey Something said...

Sure thing, Stella. I'll add them. Thanks!

Casey Something said...

Hey Stella, Carolyn Grayson isn't open to novel-length unsolicited fiction subs anymore (except for previously published). Do you still want me to do a Spotlight on her?

I'm going to suggest my favorite, Michelle Andelman, formerly at ABLA and now at Lynn C. Franklin Associates. :-)

I'd love to see something about Beth Fleisher, the new agent at Barry Goldblatt's Agency. There's not much info out there about her. Thanks!

Emily Keyes just came up on the Guide to Literary Agents blog too. And Casey, I've had some experience with Beth Fleisher if you want to shoot me an email. I did an interview with her on the QT blog and she read my full and we talked on the phone...a few times. Send me an email.

How about Barry Goldblatt or Mark McVeigh or Anna Webman (Curtis Brown)

Casey Something said...

Thank you Anna, Shawna, Elana, and Karen. I'll work all of your requests into the list!

And Elana, once I get things all organized, I'll shoot you an e-mail about Beth.

Thanks!

Swanna MacNair (if you have her already on your upcoming list I missed her)

and Natanya Wheeler

Sounds good, Anon. As soon as I get time this week, I'll rearrange the list and get these added.

Just want to thank you for doing this! I'm a huge researcher, but you found so many things about agents that I never unearthed. It's so incredibly helpful and it's helped me target some agents I wouldn't have otherwise known about (one shot me back with a full request overnight) and clued me in when an agent wouldn't be a good match and I should take a gamble on someone else at their agency. Seriously, this is a wonderful thing you're doing. You have my never-ending gratitude.

Thank you, b7441g. Hearing this kind of feedback means the world to me. The appreciation fellow writers express make the time and effort worth it.

Do let me know if you have a blog, and also if you find success with that agent!
