Writing / Research Tip Tuesday #26

Need some motivation to meet your daily writing goals?  Try Write or Die by Dr. Wicked.  Choose a consequence level and start typing away.  Just don't stop for too long!  Read about the application and how it works here

When you're done playing with that, please send in a tip!.  I've run out again. Happy Tuesday!

Oh my gosh, how funny and scary. I'll stick to the life of a slacker for now.

Let me know if you like the desktop version better than the free online one, Patience-please!

Haha, Jon. Chicken! No Kamikaze for you? You don't want to risk having your words erased? : p

Wouldn't an electro-shock be counter productive? I mean, if my fingers are electrocuted then how in the heck am I going to type???

No way, no how, I'll just stick to the honor system of meeting my writing goals.

I've heard of this, but it's not for me. I tend to spend a lot of time staring at the screen, but my butt stays in the chair, and that's good enough for me.

Excellent tip! I've tried Write or Die and actually liked it.

One of my crit partners uses it -- I'm too terrified of the erasing your ms part!

Write or Die is an absolute Godsend when I'm stuck for words. Can't get distracted by Twitter or blogs when you're doing it, that's for sure!

You don't have to always use the Kamikaze mode that deletes your words if you're stagnating. There are other modes that are gentler, and just give you a warning (an unpleasant noise) when you're taking too long. I nearly died when it was Oom-Bop by the Hansens once. :)

Too clever! And I love the new pic of you.

I'll see what I can think of for tips :)
