This week's Agent Spotlight features Nicole Resciniti of The Seymour Agency.
Status: Open to submissions.
About: "Nicole has been listed by Publisher's Marketplace as a top dealmaker in the country, and named ACFW's 2012 Agent of the Year.
"She loves discovering new talent and helping established authors to take their career to the next level.
"Do you have the next project to feed her book addiction? A smart, tight read she won’t be able to put down? A signature voice she’ll fight to represent?
"HEA’s are a must for romance. Mainstream suspense, thrillers, mysteries, YA and inspirational novels are welcome. A consummate science geek and card-carrying Mensa member, Nicole would love to find the next great science fiction/fantasy novel or action/adventure masterpiece.
"Currently on her wish list: high concept middle grade, any kind of romance, and really fresh voices in YA.
"Nicole is a member of AAR, ACFW, RWA, and Mensa. She holds degrees in biology, psychology, and behavioral neuroscience. Like Mary Sue, Nicole taught in the public school system and has worn many hats before heeding her calling to become a literary agent--for which she will forever be indebted to Mary Sue Seymour.
"I have the best job in the world. I read for a living and make author's dreams come true." (Link)

I love it when bloggers feature agents. It's so hard sometimes to glean the info you need to make a good choice for querying, but posts like these help so much!
Awesome. I had the opportunity to query her recently. Great interaction. :)
I had to Google "HEA" to figure out what it meant. Guess I don't read enough romance.
This series is a great resource for writers pursuing representation. I love an agent that has a true passion for the written word.
Awesome spotlight. I'm excited that Nicole Resciniti is looking for a fantasy series.
This post was a learning experience ...thanks
I'm so happy you spotlighted Nicole! Such an awesome person. Hope to get the opportunity to work with her.
Thanks for the information. This agent may be a good fit for my manuscript.
I've considered querying her, but I wasn't sure how she would feel about swearing in my YA novel. Otherwise she sounds like she might the right fit for my story.
Stina, that made me smile because I had the same fear when I queried Nicole. My YA had swearing and s-e-x! Gasp! And my adult romance was quite steamy. But she loved them both, she signed me, and she sold them both.
I couldn't love her more. She's exceeded every one of my expectations.

She just won agent of the year at ACFW's awards banquet. Very cool.
