I just got back to Ca from visiting family in Louisiana. It was my kids' first time and we had a blast introducing them to southern culture and the madness that is New Orleans. I've only just started looking through our pictures but here's a taste of our vacation.

Wish I could have been there for that crawfish boil! :) e
Wow! That's a lot of crawfish. Glad you had a good time.
Fabulous photos. I'm glad you had a great time!
We lived in S. Mississippi for a few years and experienced many the joys of New Orleans. Crawfish boils were a definite favorite:)
So cool! New Orleans is one of the cities of my wishlist! Such a unique culture. The crawfish photo had me gaping!! WOW!
Holy crawfish!!! I've always wanted to taste something like that. When Mathew McConaughy eats it in those southern movies, I drool! :)
I bet your kids really enjoyed the trip. Whenever I think of New Orleans, I think of Anne Rice's books. She gave the city such atmosphere. But your pics have an atmosphere all their own - love the 80 lbs of crawfish! :-)
I live two hours from New Orleans; very interesting city!
Up hear in Georgia they call it Low country boil. That's a lot of food.
I haven't had Spring Break yet! Your pictures look so beautiful and fun. I have wanted to visit LA for a long time. Look at that seafood. Glad you had so much fun.
Congrats to the winner. :)~

I had fun, yeah, but nothing as fun as crawfish feasts and steamboat rides!
I've never been to New Orleans, but I want to. Your pictures remind me to poke that destination up the list of Places to Visit -- although I don't think it's going to make the itinerary this year.
I went skiing in Vermont over my break.
What an exciting vacation, Casey. Fun, fun pics! Welcome home. We had a staycation...rode bikes and went on hikes.
I love New Orleans. I hope to go again. I'm glad you had a great getaway.
Sounds like a great time, Casey!
Thanks for hosting me on your blog. LIAM is on its way to Natasha!

Awesome pictures! look at all those crawfish. I ate them once back a long time ago when I had gone to lousianna for mardi gras. It was...different. LOL

No spring break for us this year, I'm afraid, so I'll live vicariously through vacation pictures like yours. You made my mouth water with that crawfish feast!
Holy moly that's a lot of crawfish! I don't eat seafood but I know those are quite popular down south. I love New Orleans and have had the chance to go twice on vacation.
We did nothing for Spring break because I had to work. :(
I'm glad you had a nice time! :)
That looks like tons of fun!!! We enjoyed the last little bit of snow here on snowmobiles, and I build an igloo with my kids. It was something crazy that I have had on a bucket list for years, and so I enjoyed playing around with the kids. Glad you had a great spring break!
I don't see any "dip" in pile of crawfish.
Lovely! I wish I could be there!
Congrats to Natasha for her win!
We went to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter!
I've just been at home, thinking of how nice it'd be to go to a fun place like New Orleans. Thanks for sharing your pictures. I'd love to visit there someday.
I think it'd take me a year to finish all that crawfish! I bet it was really good.
